Jon Gelman Speaks at the ABA Midwinter Meeting

Jon Gelman spoke at the American Bar Associations' Midwinter Seminar and Conference of the Workers' Compensation Committee in Boston about the use of social networking and its implication with workers' compensation.  The Workers' Compensation Committee Midwinter Seminar & Conference was held in conjunction with the Tort, Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) and Section of Labor and Employment Law.

The Section of Labor and Employment Law is a link to the labor and employment information and a world-wide network of diverse labor and employment lawyers. The 25,000 members represent all perspectives of labor and employment law: employer, union, employee, public, and neutral.  All are committed to a balanced discussion of employment issues in the and abroad.

TIPS is a source of knowledge and leadership on trial practice and critical issues of justice that involve all areas of tort and insurance law. Because members include plaintiff, defense, corporate and in-house counsel, all sides of the issues confronting our profession are presented and analyzed.

Jon L. Gelman is nationally recognized as an author, lecturer and skilled trial attorney in the field of workers’ compensation law and occupational/environmental disease litigation. Over a career spanning more than three decades he has been involved in complex litigation involving thousands of clients challenging the mega-industries of: asbestos, tobacco and lead paint. Gelman is the author NJ Workers’ Compensation Law (West-Thompson) and co-author of the national treatise, Modern Workers’ Compensation Law (West-Thompson).
